Conditions this week on Clearlake
I had a Guide Trip a few days after Christmas with Neil and Actrica from San Jose, Ca they were staying at the Clearlake Cottages in Clearlake. I picked them up at the docks at the Cottages and went to our first spot. The weather was cold but calm. We moved a short distance to the Boat Work's and after fishing a short time with no bites we moved to our second spot which was Windmill Island. Actrica caught 2 nice Bass in about 8 foot of water and Neil caught one Bass. After leaving that spot we went to Henderson Point fishing in 20 to 30 feet of water, Actrica caught 2 more fish one about 5 lbs and a nice Bass 6 1/2 lbs. Neil caught about 3 or 4 fish but only managed to get one to the boat. We put 6 nice fish in the boat in a 5 hour trip. They had a great day.
I have been out 2 or 3 times since then the bite is still good with minnows. Some fisherman are catching good quality fish on the Alabama rig. While the rain is holding off come up lets go fishing!
